"One of a group of negatives taken for the October 30, 1959, Arkansas Gazette article "French Cemetery Honors Americans Who Died on Omaha," B1:2. This series of negatives include his visits to Utah Beach, Omaha Beach and Normandy Beach. He photographed the monuments and memorials, abandoned German formidable defenses and artillery, and wrecked Allied landing crafts. This image shows the monument to American Dead at the American Cemetery of Colleville/Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer where many Americans are buried. It overlooks the beaches of Omaha."
