Scholars' access to the documents they cite : social scientists' information sources
Social scientists differ from scholars in the natural sciences in the information sources they rely on and in some of the ways they locate information. Data from a study sponsored by OCLC and synthesis of previous work show that social scientists' use of libraries is very traditional; they are less likely to use the professional bibliographic services and apparatus that librarians offer; and they personal collections heavily overlap library collections.
