In 1950s Ireland, an orphan finds herself living in a small town and entered into a bleak future with the man she married. Quite simply, another life does not seem possible. But then she encounters a photographer on the verge of leaving Ireland and all the ravages of the past seem poised to give way to the great love threatening to consume them both.
