Lost

Mickey Carlyle disappeared, in a building with only five floors and eleven flats? How is this possible? Everyone knows that Mickey Carlyle is dead and a man is in prison for her murder, except Detective Inspector Vincent Ruiz, who cannot stop searching for her and will not give up hope that she is still alive. Vincent is found one night, shot and with a picture of Mickey in his pocket, he seems to have amnesia. After being accused of faking amnesia and under investigation by his colleagues he retraces his steps, and relives that night with the help of a psycholdist. Facts, not memories will tell him what happened to Mickey Carlisle.

  • "After Detective Ruiz is rescued with a gunshot wound and no recollection of what happened, he also finds a picture of a kidnapped child in his pocket. A murder victim is also uncovered, and Ruiz is forced to regain his memory."@en
  • "When Detective Ruiz is pulled from the Thames, he has a bullet in his leg, a photograph of a missing (and presumed dead) girl in his pocket, and absolutely no memory of what happened. Nearby is a bloody boat, perhaps evidence of further damage from the night Ruiz can't remember. When his own colleagues start hounding Ruiz for answers--some even accusing him of faking amnesia--the battered and beleaguered detective turns to O'Loughlin to help him recover his memories. And as the past comes back in fragments, the astonishing truth begins to crystallize.--"@en

  • "Vincent Ruiz is lucky to be alive. A bullet in the leg, another through the hand, he is discovered clinging to a buoy in the River Thames, losing blood and consciousness fast. It takes six days for him to come out of his coma, and when he does, his nightmare is only just beginning. Because Vincent has no recollection of what happened, and nobody believes him."@en
