Black Hills [a novel]

At the Battle of Little Big Horn, Paha Sapa, a young Sioux Indian, becomes possessed by General George Armstrong Custer's ghost. Haunted by the ability to relive the painful past as well as witness his people's future, Paha Sapa fades into the background of the ever-changing American landscape. Then, in 1936, Paha Sapa plans to avenge his people by assassinating President Roosevelt.
