"Polly is a beautiful trick rider in a traveling circus. During a performance, she suffers a fall from her horse. She is brought to the home of Reverend John Douglas, and the two fall in love. But members of John's congregation claim the Reverend's home is no place for a woman of the circus, and John's position in the community is threatened by their illicit love affair" - Container.

"Polly, a young circus equestrienne, is injured in a riding accident. She is left behind by the circus to recuperate in the home of the local minister, Rev. John Douglas. She and the minister fall in love, causing quite a scandal in the small town. Polly is especially resented by Deacon Strong and his jealous daughter, Julia. A year passes and the circus is nearby. Polly receives word that her old friend, Toby the clown, is very sick. On an impulse, she enters her horse, Bingo, in a local horse race and wins, beating Deacon Strong's horse. This angers the Deacon so much that he drives Polly out of town. She rejoins the circus, but pines away for Rev. Douglas who also misses her. When the circus returns the next year, Polly and Rev. Douglas are reunited when he rescues her from a terrible fire."
