  • "It is November 15th, 1776. The American Revolution is in danger of collapse. British forces already controlled most of Manhattan. Now they are successfully attacking the last rebel stronghold: Fort Washington, built on Manhattan Island to secure the Hudson River. The area commander, 34-year-old General Nathanael Greene is in trouble. Viewing the siege from across the river at Fort Lee, Greene has chosen to defend the Fort. He does so against the advice of Commander-in-chief George Washington who has arrived at Fort Lee to observe."
