Gentrification is returning H Street to its former glory, but the facade of new construction conceals deeper changes. Racial and income demographics are shifting, the cost of living is rising, and the cultural identity is changing. Long-term residents are forced to adapt, and new comers are learning important lessons about what it means to live in a multi-racial and multi-cultural neighborhood. 'Heal H Street' tells the personal stories of residents using multi-media, long form essay, a multi-media project website, and a web based photo essay."
