In Stabiano exploring the ancient seaside village of the Roman elite
Two short documentaries on the Italian town of ancient Stabiae (modern day Castellamare di Stabia), a resort community of lavish summer homes, which was destroyed in A.D. 79 along with the city of Pompeii by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. First film uses computer animation to describe the last night of the city before its destruction. The 2nd employs live footage and computer simulations to give a tour of one of the major ruins, the Villa San Marco.
