Making television, making dance making television dance
An exploration of the relationship between the complex technology of television and the realm of dance. Highlights a new work entitled Country dances, featuring Twyla Tharp, Tom Rawe, Jennifer Way, Shelley Washington, and Christine Uchida. In this work, which was choreographed especially for television, the camera is treated as a collaborative partner rather than as a simple observer. Also shows Twyla Tharp and Mikhail Baryshnikov rehearsing a work entitled Once more Frank.
