A drama about the 1947 Journey of Reconciliation, which consisted of 16 activists from the Chicago-based Congress of Racial Equality, who tested the Supreme Court decision that ruled that segregation on interstate travel violated the Interstate Commerce clause of the U.S. Constitution. The group of whites and African Americans rode various buslines in the South to find out if they were abiding by the Supreme Court decision.
