"Two scrapbooks consisting of programs and reviews of Howard B. Chamberlain, a lawyer who wrote music reviews under the name Howard Boardman for the Minneapolis Journal. Many of the programs contain his handwritten notes. The musical performances included recitals of well-known singers as well as musical organizations, including the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra. Some reviews have a by-line of Henrietta Boardman who was Chamberlain's daughter, Frances DeLarsh Chamberlain. She was a soloist and became a well-known voice teacher in Tacoma, Washington. Howard B. Chamberlain served in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1905. He died in 1921."
