The Little Bible Heroes series of books is designed to bring many of the most important stories in the Bible down to a young child's level. These stories are illustrated using children and childlike people to bring to life these amazing true stories. At the end of each story, children are asked questions about how to apply the principles of the story to their own lives. The story of the birth of Christ: The angel Gabriel appears to Mary and says, "You will have a Son and you will name him Jesus". Mary visits her older cousin Elizabeth. Elizabeth is going to have a baby too. Mary tells her, "The Mighty One has done great things for me!" Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem, but there is no room in the inn. They go to a stable, where Mary gives birth to Jesus on Christmas. Mary knows that Jesus is a special baby. Shepherds see angels in the sky singing, "Glory to God!" An angel tells them Jesus is born and lying in a manger. The shepherds hurry to see Jesus. The Magi come from the East to worship Jesus. They offer him gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
