In 1983 when Cindy married Frank, a member of a chart topping pop band called OXO, she imagined a life of glamour and wealth. Now twenty-three years later Frank would rather drink than try to revive his one-hit career causing Cindy to berate him incessantly. Frank and Cindy are both wacky, crazy and charismatic, and their son G.J. is convinced that they are a gold-mine for a film. But what started out as an attempt to mock his stepfather instead becomes a candid portrait of the pursuit of happiness.
