Convergence

"Genealogical diagrams often take on a branching pattern like that of the limbs of a tree. My sculptural exploration of the genealogical form reflects on various branching systems found in the natural world. Distinct elements converge into one, or the one can be seen as separating into two. This process does not serve to divide or isolate any single element; rather each part remains integral to the whole. The importance of the individual broadens as the process of expansion continues."@en
