[Letter] 1752 Jun. 5, Kittery [to] Colo. Israel Williams
Pepperrell writes to Williams expressing condolences regarding the death of Williams's grandson. He then acknowledges his obligation for a debt to Williams for monies loaned for the expedition Pepperrell headed in the capture of Fortress Louisbourg in Nova Scotia (1745) during King George's War. Pepperrell had gone to London to secure funding for this debt. An outline of the debt and interest owed is given in the letter.
