Measurement in psychology

"This book is designed primarily as a textbook for college courses in psychological tests and measurements. The aim has been to give a brief survey of the whole field of psychological testing. In this respect the book will be found to differ from the several books which treat only one phase of psychological measurement, as the intelligence, the educational, or some other type of testing. A basic theme of the book is that quantitative study and measurement are just as pertinent to psychological pursuits as to other scientific pursuits; and that progress in psychology will generally be in proportion to the use of objective quantitative methods of study"--Preface. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved).
