"There aren't enough people left who get mad, plain mad."Sam Abelman is a doctor who never takes the easy way out. A man of principle, he serves the disadvantaged citizens of a deteriorating Brooklyn neighborhood. His work is hard, his life harder. A TV producer finds him and, as he interviews the old man for his reality TV show, comes to learn that anger is not a flaw but a deeply moral response to the corruption and fraud of his city. Based on the author's own father, this is a raw, compelling portrait of the neighborhood, life, and character of an angry hero.
