Viel Interessantes über das Leben dieser "berittenen Kuhhirten" wird darin berichtet. So z.B. wie sie auf einer Ranch lebten, wie ihre Bekleidung vom Hut, den "Beinkleidern", bis hin zu den Stiefeln aussah, ihr Cowboyschmuck, Waffen und Sättel, wovon sie sich in der Wildnis ernährten, welchen Gefahren sie ausgesetzt waren, ihre Kunst des Lassowerfens, ihre Pferde und das Rodeoreiten.
