Sidney Spivey Gambrell was born 2 January 1907 in Lockhart, Texas. His parents were John Newton Gambrell (1864-1931)and Mary Mooney (1868-1947). He married Nora Katherine Rheinlander (1906-1986), daughter of Frank Jacob Rheinlander (1872-1957) and Katherina Sophia Augusta Ficke (1880-1969). They had two children. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia, England and Germany.
