A film inspired by the life and music of Harold Arlen, who was arguably America's most popular composer, having written songs such as Stormy weather, Blues in the night, Over the rainbow and all the songs from The Wizard of Oz. The film features stylised productions of his songs with performances by contemporary recording artists in the worlds of jazz, pop, rock and blues. It also includes rare footage of Harold Arlen himself, and his own home movies.
