Computer use in psychology a directory of software

"Computer Use in Psychology: A Directory of Software, Third Edition, is a compilation of computer programs and databases useful to psychologists working in clinical practice or academia. Listings are designed to provide sufficient information about program content, equipment requirements, and price to allow the reader to identify products that may be suitable for their use. The Directory lists software that falls into four major categories: academic software (classroom or laboratory use), clinical software (useful for client treatment), statistics and research aids, and psychological testing programs. Software used for automation of the mental health professional's business office (billing, scheduling, record keeping, accounting, etc.) has been excluded from this volume. General purpose programs such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, and utility software have also been excluded from this book. The Directory lists 869 programs. Updated listings of software that appeared in the second edition (Stoloff & Couch, 1988) account for 37% of the listings. The majority of listings (63%) are completely new. If individual software packages have been reviewed in a journal or another publication, that review is cited"--Introduction. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved).
