The seacoast of Bohemia

Four years after her son, then aged eight, vanished without trace, Anita Roger receives a telephone call that convinces her he is still alive. The police are sceptical, so she turns to ex-police officer Henri Castang. The trail points eastward, and so, aided by his far-sighted wife, Vera, Castang heads to the Czech Republic to follow up a tenuous lead.
