Doctor of the north

Jim Lanson was a man with a past - a past that held nothing but disillusionment. At one time a doctor in England, his name had been removed from the Register and he had found in the Canadian backwoods a refuge and a home. Of course, he was a woman-hater - at least until the day he rescued Alice Kennedy from the clutches of the ruffian Tim Hogan. And when Hogan kidnapped her again, Jim saw red and took the trail, vowing vengeance.
