  • "Roker's Reef is a small island off the west coast of the USA. A visitor from the mainland is David Firth, a rising young executive who plans to take a vacation on the Reef, and perhaps write a book. However, as soon as he meets the attractive divorcee Enid Porter he changes course and becomes more interested in her. Because suspicion in aroused that David Firth has come to the Reef to prepare the ground for a takeover by his firm, a hatchet-man is sent and tragedy erupts, leaving him with little but unhappy memories."
