A Sensible Life A Novel

In 1926, a number of English families took their young to Brittany for the Easter holidays. It was a holiday Flora would never forget. As a lonely ten year old, it was the first time she had encountered such confident young people. She fell in love with three of them - Cosmo and Hubert, English public school boys, and Felix, a twenty-one year old Dutchman.

  • "Flora was a ten-year-old misfit. Ignored by her parents, and pitied by the pleasant, stylish people in Brittany, Flora was included in their gracious circles. And there, she fell in love with Cosmo, with Hubert, with Felix. But it takes 40 years for the love affairs to be explored, consummated, and finally resolved. Originally published: London: Ba."@en
