The throwing catcher a Bronc Burnett baseball story
The baseball action takes in Washington, D.C., where Bronc and his teammates have been chosen to represent America in a return three-game series against the champions of eastern Canada. Trouble begins when Bronc's brush-back pitch hits the opposing hurler on the wrist. The Canadians refuse to believe the hit was an accident, while the Sonorans stick loyally to Bronc and Fat Crompton, his catcher. Bronc must again pitch to the batter who is crowding the plate--the same boy with a bandaged wrist who was injured in the first game.
