Proposal for the future implementation of the Monash Image Library

Abstract: "The Monash Image Library has been in development for several years. However with the prospect of a large amount of research and development in the area of Colour Image Processing being conducted in the near future, it is unlikely to adequately support different colour spaces without major alterations. Two new object-oriented designs for the library have been put forward, both of which adequately support new colour spaces, including multispectral images. This report will discuss the existing Image Library and the two proposals, in the interest of creating further discussion into the implementation of the Image Library in 1992 and beyond."
