Meyer werden soziale, oekonomische und rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen und Herausforderungen dargestellt - von der Privatbank und Mitgruenderin der Deutschen Bank und des Bauunternehmens Philipp Holzmann ueber die Krisen zwischen den Weltkriegen, die Bankenkrise 1931, den Niedergang im Nationalsozialismus bis zur Arisierung, nach der nochmals ein Inhaberwechsel zum Bankhaus Metzler aus Frankfurt erfolgte.
