Economic privilege and protection from consequences

Privilege is one of the most difficult concepts in multicultural scholarship. In this presentation, Dr. Liu argues that economic privilege is about unearned benefits that are dependent on a predictable system and structure of resources. Unlike affluent individuals, those who are poor suffer from undependable systems of resources, which may translate to different interpersonal styles and poorer economic and educational outcomes.
