  • "In the heart of Sudan, in the mountains of south Kordofan, the Nuba still live according to the traditional customs of black Africa. The majority of the Nuba are Muslim, and they are fighting against the fundamentalist Islamic government in Khartoum, which wants to erase their ancient African culture and traditions. However, the war that has been raging for 40 years is not only motivated by religion, with the Muslims of the north against the Christians and Animists of the south, but by ethnic factors as well, pitting the Arabic north against the African south. Since the early 1980s, the entire area has been cut off by the war; this documentary shows what the life of the Nuba is like after 15 years in isolation."@en
