For the very first time, Microform Academic Publishers brings together a comprehensive digital archive focussing on a multi-perspective approach to our understanding of the First World War. As well as the diaries of those who fought during the conflict, the series includes the records of those individuals and groups - including the No-Conscription Fellowship and Union of Democratic Control - who resisted conscription, particularly from 1916 onwards. A diplomatic perspective is offered via the papers of Sir Esme Howard, 1863-1939. Howard was a prominent British diplomat during the course of the war as well as a delegate at the Versailles Treaty in 1919. Additionally, there is an academic perspective through the papers of Spenser Wilkinson, 1881-1935. Wilkinson, a renowned military historian, corresponded with many prominent figures on the course of the war, including Prime Minister Asquith and Lord Kitchener.
