Included are letters from S.E. Packwood of Magnolia, Miss., who writes of his capture by Union forces at Gettysburg and imprisonment at Fort Delaware; Virginia B. Hilliard, who provides information concerning the military career and death of her former husband, General Albert Gallatin Jenkins; and R.J. Hancock of Charlottesville, Va. Also included is a printed address by Colonel J.S. Scott delivered to the 1st Louisiana Cavalry, in which Walter Stewart served, on April 23, 1865."
