Handwritten manuscript (copy) of A journal of a surveying trip into western Pennsylvania under Andrew Ellicott in the year 1795; when the towns of Erie, Warren, Franklin, and Waterford were laid out. The last 10 p. of the v. are recipes. A transcription of this journal, which was printed by John Cumming [c1965], is in the Clarke Historical Library. The original journal is the property and family heirloom of Mrs. Marydeana Duckworth of Mount Pleasant (Mich.).
