Johnson's unsuccessful bid for the 1960 Presidential nomination and Hubert H. Humphrey's 1968 Presidential campaign. Other subjects in the papers include Democratic Party affairs, Harvard alumni activities, and the Herter Committee on Foreign Affairs. Papers also include his notebooks while at the Naval Training School in Quonset Point, R.I., 1943; and information collected on "subversives" in the United Nations, 1948."
