Vermont judicial scandal

John Rudolph reports on the 1987 Vermont State Supreme Court judicial scandal involving three Vermont Supreme Court judges: William Hill, Thomas Hayes, and Ernest Gibson III and assistant judge Jane Wheel of the Chittenden County Superior Court. The three judges were accused by Vermont's Judicial Conduct Board of protecting the Chittenden County Superior Court assistant judge Jane Wheel, who was accused of alleged misconduct. Gov. Madeleine Kunin and former governor Philip Hoff also comment in the story. Rudolph states that the scandal came to be known as "Wheel-gate" in Vermont.
