Barrett from her sister Blanche Stoutenburgh and other friends and relatives, 1911-1947, concerning family news, excursions, auto strikes in Detroit in the 1930s, Atlantic City in 1929, property matters, and the deaths of her husband and son; letters from Tom Barrett, Jr. to his parents and sister Elizabeth, 1919-1939, concerning art school, his art work, rooming house life in Boston in the 1920s, experiences at the Research Studio, an art colony in Maitland, Fla. in 1939, the first exhibit of Dutchess County artists in 1934, working with the WPA, and the Dutchess County Art Association; childhood letters of Tom Barrett, Jr. and Elizabeth Barrett concerning school and camp; and one family letter from 1850. Other items include Elizabeth's diary for 1916 and a diary kept by Tom Jr.; family photographs, ca. 1860-1940; estate papers; genealogy materials; and Tom Jr.'s collection of art prints and reproductions. There are also short biographies of Blanche Stoutenburgh (b. 1876) and Ada Willett (1880-1959) who lived and worked together at the Vassar Brothers Home for Aged Men, 1930-1947."
