After her husband's death, Lura Martin wasn't sure how to support her family, until the appearance of a letter from her estranged Uncle Andy. It is a challenge to 'live off the land' on the family farm for one year, and he will turn the property over to her. But if she fails, she relinquishes the farm and any help from Andy.
