  • "Wally Cox steps out of his role as Robinson Peepers, general science teacher, to play himself in this presentation of his own success story. The program begins with the aspiring comic Cox and his roommate Marlon Brando in trouble because they can't pay the rent on their Greenwich Village apartment. Cox performs his original routines at parties, and is so successful with his peers that he moves on to nightclub dates, until finally Fred Coe, a television producer, sees Cox and tells him he wants to build a show around him. The party scene features Mae Barnes singing There'll be some changes made and What a day this has been, and Cox performing his fighter monologue. The nightclub scene features Mary McCarty singing Back in your own backyard, Barnes, McCarty, and Cox doing a number to Basin Street blues, and Cox performing his Army routine."
