- ""At a Hollywood rehearsal studio, the stars of TV's The golden girls, Bea Arthur, Estelle Getty, Rue McClanahan and Betty White, are posing for a magazine cover with large bouquets of flowers. Betty finds a card on her bouquet and reads it aloud: 'From a secret admirer.' That's Ralph Edwards' cue to enter and tell the multiple Emmy winner that tonight, 'This is your life.' This extravagant network special features a who's who of television. Veteran Tonight show host Jack Paar and game show producer Mark Goodson salute their longtime friend. Betty's co-stars from the Mary Tyler Moore show, Ed Asner, Cloris Leachman, Gavin MacLeod, Valerie Harper and Georgia Engel, appear in person, and Mary Tyler Moore joins the cast via satellite from New York. Thrilled to see so many dear friends, animal lover Betty is also thrilled to see Mary's dog Dash and new puppy Dudley. To complete the evening, the 'Mayor of Hollywood,' Johnny Grant, and former NBC chairman Grant Tinker, drop in to announce that a star honoring Betty's late husband, Allen Ludden, will be placed beside hers on the Hollywood Walk of Fame"--DVD sleeve,"
