In Limon's legacy, the Jose Limon Dance Company presents excerpts from its varied repertoire as a tribute to Jose Limon. Beginning with Doris Humphrey, and carried on by Jose Limon and Ruth Currier, the choreography attempts to incorporate everyday movement into dance to illustrate man's condition. In Nik, Alwin Nikolais discusses his incorporation of both motion and visual art, particularly sculpture, into his choreography. He also uses light and shadow to create visual illusions. The Nikolais Dance Theatre performs excerpts from his works and is also shown in rehearsal.
