Washington State Library's collection of Martin Baker's photograph album of World War I photographs
This collection consists of 64 black & white photographs that were taken by Martin Baker while he was stationed in Alaska during World War I. There is a photograph of Baker in the cover pocket of the album. The photographs are 17 cm. x 28 cm. with the image being about 9 cm. x 13 cm. Most of the photos are of cities in Alaska such as Juneau, Douglas, Skagway, Mt. Whitcom, Sitka & Yakutat. The photos include a photo of the U.S.S.C. 309; of the Governor of Alaska; some of Baker's shipmates; and a few locals of the area.
