"The Albert Bacon Fall papers consist primarily of papers relating to the prosecution of Fall for his involvement in the Teapot Dome and Elk Hills oil reserve affair. Box 1 contains correspondence (1921-1925) about the oil reserve case. Box 2 contains correspondence and documents (1926-1928) about the case. Box 3 contains testimony, memorandums, printed pamphlets, and legal exhibits (1912-1926) relating to the case. Box 4 contains correspondence and material relating to Fall's Three Rivers Ranch (1917-1927) in which Harry Ford Sinclair and Steward L. Doheny invested. Box 5 includes material relating to Fall's seat on the Committee on Foreign Relations where he served as Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee investigating Mexican affairs (1914-1923). Box 6 and 7 contain material (1921-1923) relating to Fall's position as Secretary of the Interior. Box 8 contains correspondence relating to patronage and favors requested of Fall in his various government positions. Box 9 contains papers and correspondence (1916-1924) relating to Clarence C. Chase, Fall's son-in-law. Box 10 contains miscellaneous clippings, printed pamphlets and reports (1920-1924) Box 11 contains scrapbooks of newspaper clippings (1918-1925) as well as an index to the clippings, 1918-1919. Boxes 12-16 contain Supreme Court transcripts and documents (1922-1927) of proceedings from the United States v Harry F. Sinclair, Albert B. Fall, and Edward L. Doheny. Also included in the collection is a business ledger from 1886 and a Mexican newspaper, El Correo de Chihuahua, 1851. An addition to the collection containing miscellaneous papers (1917-1924) and labeled archive 131-1 is housed in box 16."
