William Wallace, Jr. (1864-1939) was a Helena, Montana, attorney. Collection (1883-1940) consists primarily of clippings about his life, including his 1879 steamboat journey up the Missouri River to Fort Benton; his election to the first state legislature in 1889; his fifteen years as legal counsel for the Northern Pacific Railway Company; his service as Assistant U.S. Attorney General; and his work for the Enemy Alien Bureau for the Port of New York during World War I.
