Michel, le héros masculin de l'histoire, est un homme désabusé, perdu, solitaire, presque misanthrope qui décide, pour tromper sa solitude, de partir en voyage organisé en Thailande. Là il va rencontrer Valérie. On découvrira très vite que ces deux là sont faits pour s'entendre. C'est cette relation amoureuse si particulière, où l'on percevra une réelle pureté et qui tournera au tragique, qui nous a fascinés."
