Ma and Pa Kettle go to town

Pa wins a trip to New York City. In trying to find a babysitter for their 15 kids, they end up with Mike, a mobster who claims to be poet in need of solitude. The Kettles agree to deliver an empty bag to Mike's brother in New York which actually contains $100,000. With mobsters and police trailing Pa there is hilarity abounding. Back at the farm, mobster Mike discovers prison would be paradise compared to a day with the Kettle kids.
