Los Angeles, 2019. Man has developed the technology to create 'replicants, ' human clones used to serve in the colonies outside Earth but with fixed lifespans. Rick Deckard is an LAPD Blade Runner who prowls the steel and micro-chip jungle of the 21st century for the assumed humanoids. Originally in retirement, he is forced to re-enter the force when six replicants escape from an offworld colony to Earth. The replicants are to be terminated upon detection. Now, man's obsession with creating a begin equal to himself has back fired.
