New art museums

Peter Eisenman discusses new art museum and performing arts center architecture, including the Wexner Center, a performing arts center for Emory University, the Max Reinhardt Center in Berlin, and a collaborative project with artist Jörg Immendorff for a cabaret/arts studio/offices/etc. in Düsseldorf. He explores three aspects of the contemporary condition of culture which will affect architecture: Toffler's idea of a trisected situation of agricultural, industrial and information societies in political, economic, and social affairs; the change away from reality-based physical presences; and, the change from static to dynamic systems in perception of the world.
