Capelin, Mallotus villosus, catches and landings in the Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence for 1998
Given the capelin's key role in the marine ecosystem and the absence of an abundance survey specific to the species, capelin landings and bycatches must be monitored annually. The main objective of this document is to update and present the latest data derived from commercial fishing, bycatches and commercial sampling of the species in the St. Lawrence Estuary and Gulf.
