"Die in den sechziger Jahren von Sharpe, Lintner und Mossin bzw. Black und Lintner entwickelten Kapitalmarktgleichgewichtsmodelle zur Erklarung des Rendite verhaltens von Kapitalanlagen zahlen zu den zentralen Bausteinen der modemen Investitions-und Finanzierungstheorie. Ihre empirische Giiltigkeit wird in den USA seit Anfang der siebziger Jahre intensiv diskutiert. Dabei fanden zunachst univariate Methoden, ab Anfang der achtziger Jahre auch multivariate Verfahren ihre Verwen dung. Neben der simultanen Auswertung der geschatzten Parameter bieten die multi variaten Verfahren zusatzlich die Vorziige, daB sie sich fUr nichtlineare Hypothesen eignen und ohne spezifizierte Altemativhypothese auskommen. Die Liicke zwischen der deutschen und der US-amerikanischen Literatur in der Anwendung multivariater Verfahren im Rahmen der Kapitalmarktforschung soll mit der vorliegenden Arbeit gefiillt werden. Ihr Hauptziel ist es, die in der US-amerika nischen Literatur vorgeschlagenen Testverfahren kritisch zu diskutieren und die Giiltigkeit des Sharpe-Lintner-CAPM und des Black-CAPM fiir den deutschen Kapitalmarkt mit einem sehr umfangreichen und einheitlichen Datensatz zu iiber priifen. Dariiber hinaus wird mit dieser Arbeit ein Beitrag zur intemationalen wissenschaftlichen Diskussion geleistet, da das CAPM und die verschiedenen Testverfahren mit einem bisher nicht verwendeten und von amerikanischen Unter suchungen unabhangigen Datenset analysiert werden."
